I ordered about £10 worth of plants at 5pm on Monday and they arrived first thing this morning. All plants labelled and well packaged, weights and grow tabs included and a catalogue for future orders. Wasn't expecting them to deliver them as quick as they have!

The planting guide that came with them suggests removing any dead leaves before planting. Well I would have done that, but I couldn't find a single one. Plants were in perfect condition. :D

A month of so back I purchased a Vallisneria Torta from my lfs. In the 18" collection I got from Plants Alive they included a Vallisneria Torta. Only difference being that this one is twice as big as the one I got from my lfs and looks much healthier than mine ever did.

They've actually sent me one too many aswell. Haven't a clue what it is though, because it isn't one of the ones listed on the label. It's just a mass of what looks like thick plant roots, all twisted together. It floats aswell. Anyone got any ideas?

Anyway, I highly reccommend Plants Alive.

Thanks alot Wigdean, been looking at were to go now that AE no longer sell them - but to be honest I wasn't happy with their plant service anyway, looks like they weren't either - hence the cease.

I'll look into them once my new tubes arrive :)

Cheers

ive used plants alive and theyre good, fast and reliable, unfortunately the quality of the plants nor the service can hold a candle to greenline

I bought about £50 of plants from them for my new tank and wasn't overly impressed to be honest. Some of the plants where in great condition (which is what I would expect) but others where dead or not far off. Also part of the order did not arrive and all that was on the delivery note was "too follow". I left it over a week and didn't hear anything about when it was to follow and it was only after I chased them about it that they came.

The price was good though and they did come well packed and labeled. I might have just been unlucky with the plants that didn't make it. To be fair I also didn't contact them about the plants that where in poor condition so didn't exactly give them a change to sort it out.
