I think my plants are lacking in Iron due to some of the leaves on my swords developing brown patches. I am using all the tetra products; the complete substrate, crypto tabs, Floramin plant food and 2 Optimat CO2 depots yet the swords still seem to be struggling?? :/

I am going to be adding 2 more lights to give me 4 tubes in total, hoping that will sort me out!! Like I mentioned earlier I have done some research and I think I may have low iron, anybody ever had it and what s the best way to rectify it?? I have seen a seacham product that should replenish iron and think I am going to give it a go.

This is what the swords are looking like, this is the worst example.

They have been in the tank for about a week now but I may have a reason behind it now.

Just spoke to a guy who buys plants from same place as me and he actually cuts of all the plant and replants the bottom of the plant in the substrate. He says that the plants are grown OUT OF water in Holland and when transferred to aquarium they struggle.

He reckons that they grow back with thinner leaves but much better equipped for the water!!!

I am going to give it a go and find out with the plant that seems to be struggling.
