Anybody scared of fish before you started keeping

I was as my dad has a big pond and koi freaked me out with being so big, but now i'm not scared of fish anymore and can pick them up out of the tank when they have died, but I still prefer little fish.

I was afraid of the Oscars at the LFS for a while, around the time when I first started to set up my first little 10 gallon. But now, I think they are really cool. Of course, this was like 8 or 9 years ago...

I'm not afraid of any animal so I wouldn't be afraid of fish either I can understand though as I have many friends who are scared of sharks and things - I even know someone who won't swim in the sea because of her fear of being nipped by little fish about the size of a danio

I still cant have them touch me (except in an emergency - like the leaping khuli incident). But i can now put my hand in the tank to feed and clean.

we started with just a 2ft tank as something to keep him happy - but I soon got addicted to fish as well... And now have a rather odd love for Plecs

Still not too keen on BIG fish as the look 'squidgy'
