This is the only pic i could find crossbar I think they are extinct in the wild !

The problem with lake victoria cichlids is there quite rare so finding info is difficult also an id of them can be very difficult because no one has seen them

I keep Astatotilapia Brownae in with my mbuna these guys are tough and im starting to think thats its to aggressive for mbuna but it does look stunning.

Might have to start a vic tank !

Picked up a fish from LFS very similar to that out of the trade in tank...No one there new what is was, but my wife likes it...It hasn't showed full color, but yellow sides and the black bars have shown on one occasion....Dayglow cichlid and several others look very similar also....Kevin

Its probably a sp44, thickskin these are one of the more available vics, As i said be careful so far mine has moved up the alfa stakes in my tank he has beaten a full grown afra a 3" elongatus a 3" red zebra and for some reason is scared of the yellow labs ?

1961 Ferrari 250 GT California

No idea what you two are on about ?

My tank is going a bit wierd at the mo the afra has dropped his colours for the first time the long pelvic has full blown colours the vic is getting way to aggressive and the labs are swimming about like there invincable.

The vics are going soon, i have found someone who will give them there own tank and breed them.

3 weeks until i move house im now down to 2 tanks 1 at mine 1 at my mothers who has named all my young fry and now wants a 55g mbuna tank or a reef tank !

I think my tanks alone would put me off moving house - what a nightmare.

Good luck Adam! :D

Oh and treat your mum to that tank she wants. :good:

Oh and its only temporary until i buy a new house with room for my 8ft tank

I think my mother will get a mbuna tank i have afra, long pelvic, yellow lab,red zebra and elongatus fry at the mo must be something in the water !
