I have 4 females and two of them seem very big. I've had them for a week but they were pregnant before i got them.

I bought a little container to put her in and keep the fry while they grow but how do i know she's ready to give birth? I really want to keep some fry for the aquarium and probably just give the rest away...

when the female startes trying to find a place to hide, she should have diolated pupels and be breathing pretty fast. just keep and eye on it, u'll know. and if u want them to survive it is best to find the fry a 5-10g tank to grow, those breeders wont cut it -_-

Does the 5g tank need filtration if it's just for raising fry?
How long do i have to wait before putting the fry in the regular tank?

also, i'm going to get a betta tank for my girlfriend this christmas. The betta would eat fry and bbs right?

Yes you should have a sponge filter, run off an air pump.

As soon as the fry can't fit in the over fish mouth, they can be moved, I'd say about 4-6 weeks.

and

Yes betta's love guppy fry and BBS, to eat.

Thanks alot

I guess i'll be raising betta food and future fish for myself then!
