Any Tips On Attaching Rhizomes To Objects?

took me about 1/2 hour to tie down 3 java ferns to slate with fishing line, am i bad or is it just a fiddly job? I am going to order about 25 java ferns so i don't want to waste the rest of my life!

When i used to go fishing i always had trouble trying to tie knots in the fishing line. It always took me ages to tie the hooks on!

For attaching my Java fern i have just used normal cotton. It seemed nice and easy to tie on, much easier than i remember fishing line being.

black cotton thread, thats what i use
