Any Suggestions.......

Hi...
I don't know anything about the different species of fish, but I know the color of fish I would want, so....could someone help me with what kind of fish they would suggest...

I have a 55 gallon tank with 17 fish & silk plants, & two small java ferns..
(4) Rosy Barbs
(3) Bloodfin Tetras
(4) Dalmation Mollies
(6) Misc. Planties

I would like to have some freshwater fish with the color of.....
Somekind of...

Blue Fish
Red Fish
Yellow Fish
White Fish

Anybody have any suggestions on what kind of fish I can get.

Look into gupppies. I don't know if they're compatible with your barbs but I know they are in a very wide range of colors. But like I said I don't know if they'd be good with the barbs or not. I had a couple different barbs once and they nipped the fins of my gupppies.

Blue Fish - neon/blue rainbows
Red Fish - cherry barbs, serpae tetra
Yellow Fish - platys, lemon tetra
White Fish - blind cave fish, albino widow tetras, white lyretail mollys

You should also really add at least another 3 bloodfins to make your current tetras more at home in your tank

rosy barbs and guppies are incompatible, as they are just a bit better than tiger barbs as far as nipping long-finned, slow-moving fish is concerned.

Blue/red fish: neons, cardinal tets.

Red: Flame tetras, red/harlequin rasboras, White clouds (red &white)

Blue: Blue moons (platys)

White: Pearl danios

Yellow: lemon tets.

All these are good, medium to small community fish. Been out of the hobby awhile so I don't know the availability or price of some of these.

Blue: Platies, Neons, Cardinals, Blue Rainbows, Dwarf Gouramies, Blue Tetra, Boesmani Rainbows (blue/yellow)

Red: Red Rainbows, Platies, Cherry Barbs, Pentazona Barbs (bronze/red), Flame/Ember Tetras

White: Javanese Rice fish, Diamond Tetra, Glass Bloodfin Tetra

Yellow: Yellow Rainbows, Celebes/Forktail Rainbows (not completely yellow), Gold Rams

I knew all you fish pro's could help me out. All of you had such good suggestions, I need to search for pictures of some. I'm a newbie, so I don't know much yet, I'm learning with all your help.
