Hi all I just brought this of Ebay just looking for general reviews/opinions about it, has anybody else used this type? I'm planning to connect my co2 feed to the air intake It should arrive to me by next week.

I think it should be fine. The only problem I've ever had with power heads that have suction cups is that after a while they don't stay suctioned onto the glass; I do believe that you can buy new suction cups down the road if need be.

have you every had a fish that has been sucked to the intake of it? i ask because ive had this b4 with 2 different fish and was hoping this design would be better

Standard old school powerhead type that we used to replace air driven UGF heads with. Manufacturer is the one that all pond solutions tend to use, so it's Chinese made and priced cheaply.

I've not used that particular model but have found them to be fairly reliable and cheaper overall if you need to replace them twice as often as they're less than half the price of the big names.

Not sure I'd use one in a vital area with no back up with expensive fish, but they're generally fine for what they do.

That is an excellent point. Years ago I had a baby Longhorn Cowfish get sucked onto one and since they aren't strong swimmers to begin with, the little guy had no chance. I haven't used those types of powerheads in many years so I forgot about that possibility. Hmmm, not sure now. However, I do know of people who have put a nylon over the intake and secured it--that might work but the fish could still get sucked onto the nylon. I'm sorry, I don't think I helped you although I don't know what other alternative there is. I'm inexperienced with that style of dosing--I do it the newbie way and dose liquid.
