why not try mostly marines in peterlee

cheers Dane

Ive only even bought 2 plecs from them, there tanks are poorly run and overstocked and we wont get into their prices lol they are ridiculous

I guess it can be the same where ever you go,i always make the rule of never buying a fish from a tank that has either got a dead fish or a dieing fish in it,i did go through a stage of pointing out the dead or dieing fish to the staff at the local P@H store

Got some dwarf pencilfish from them a couple of months ago, all dead within 24 hours. I know they can be tricky to acclimatise, but I've had them before from a different shop and they all died of old age.
I did buy some nerite snails a few weeks ago and they're doing fine!

The thing I don't like about Peter Barratt is that rope barrier! I wear bifocals and the distance to the tanks is just out of focus on both lenses. I appreciate why it's there (I visited when they were cleaning up the aftermath of the smashed tank) but it doesn't help if you want to check on the health of the fish, let alone chose a particular specimen.

peter barrats tanks ain't the best. friend of mine bought 4 fancy guppy's from there and they all died over night.

Meta Aquatics in Hartlepool (Burn Valley) has good tanks.

Good stock and can get a large stock of other fish on request.
