any ideas what i could do with this size tank 24"x8"x9" no lighting with though as yet

Ideal as a fast cold water tank. If you get a strong filter you could get a stream effect with lots of large river rocks and keep white cloud minnows and hong kong plecs.

everglades pygmy sunfish

trio of killifish
a red claw crab
a dwarf puffer
Shrimp
snails
adf's
bumblebee goby
micro rasboras
pygmy cories
oil catfish
peacock gobies
white cheek gobies

they were my possiblities for 3.5g so in your tank will do well.

hit the nail right on the head there jayjay with the dwarf puffer gf likes them so i might go for that any chance on some info on them cheers

if you get load's of plants and hiding places dwarf puffers will love that tank.

feed things like bloodworm, brineshrimp etc. most don't take flake but take live or frozen foods.

if there is enough hiding spots you could possibly keep 3 puffers in that tank.

try get 1 male 2 female, males have little wrinkles behind there eyes which females don't have.
