Any Idea???

Hi, at the moment I am over at a friends house and she has a 2 problems with her tank.

No 1- Its cyling with fish and its in on the 3rd cyling week, the nitites are about 4ppm.

No 2 - One of her platties has strated to get fin rot.

What I was wondering was because she is doing a small water change every day to get the nitrites down can she still carry on doing these daily changes aswell as adding waterlife myaxzine (treatment of fin rot)?

I would of thought that if she did a water change just before adding the meds each day this might be ok. Any ideas?

Read the instructions!

Each med has a different mix, so its best to do as the company recomends. And just make sure your water is air-rated well when medicating.

Maybe your friend added fish too soon into the cycle. I dunno. But if they are hanging in there, just let them keep going and the nitrite etc. will eventually come down.

We've got the air pump on and just hope that the nitrites will drop on thier own accord.
