any betta breeders out there?

oh oh Plakats are what i really want, but at this point any will do(unless i find a Plakat or a better species breeder)

also i dont want a million, just i dunno 20-50 or so...

and i guess i could pay ya for them, i dont wanna be a cheap ass and ask for them for free(like above) but im a poor college student that has to pay for some major expensive cources this fall and i only get paid min wage :cry: ++ im not even working full time, just part time, they wont hire full timers

well i do want to fight them so to speak, ive been reading alot on it and i think an occasional fight(once every couple of months or so) would be interesting...

plus i would like to breed them...

and i dunno how many ill want n stuff, i havent actually figured that part out yet, + i wont really want these for like a couple of weeks(so i can properly research everything) But i will take great care of them, as i do w/ my other fish...

fyi im a good fish taker carer, i know it sounds cruel to fight fish, but i figure like 5 fights a year or something wouldnt be TOO bad for them, and i can treat them properly for wounds...

Um, you come into a Betta lover forum and ask for fry then admit you're going to fight them?? Then say 5 fights a year isn't much??? Hmm, lets have a dog chew on you a bit 5 times a year and then see how you feel! I realize Betta fighting exists, but coming into a forum like this asking for peoples fry for that purpose? Stupid!

no they dont fight to the death, or near death, from what ive gathered once one relizes he's going to lose he'll swim away and the other will let him go...

i just gotta find a way to treat the wounds, but ill look that up next time i get a chance

also dude you dont know me or anything about me, im not gonna treat these like ####, there going to be more fish for my colorful collections BUT i will fight them... if you dont like it dont sell me any fry, others will... you act like because i want my fish to do what theyve done in the wild forever in a small tank is wrong... yeah i know it sounds bad to fight them but dont knock it till you try it

Terribly unkind of you. I do not believe that this sort of "sport" is condoned here. I would even say that most of us here love our fish as their gaurdians (dare I say parents) and would not like to see our frybabies come to harm by gifting them to you.

Shame on you for your lack of consideration of these beautiful creatures!

I was about to say yes. I have more than I know what to do with right now, but then I read on. This is probably the wrong place to ask for fry to fight. No one in their right mind would give them knowing what would happen to the poor little guys. Not that it matters, you're on the other side of the world but if you weren't-no way! Sorry if I come across mean, but the bettas you buy from the petstore aren't the fighting varieties (veiltails, crowntails, etc).

First of all plain bettas are not the right type to fight. Only plakats are fighters. The regular lfs bettas aren't even that aggressive anymore. Are you just planning on sitting at home and fighting your own bettas? Wow, talk about your Friday night...

And maybe if you stop smoking weed your brain will clear up and you can see how dumb your being right now

You are right. Forgive my scolding. Would some of our more experience members care to list reasons why this type of request is inapropriate?

Maybe he should see photos of injured pained and discarded fighters?
