Any angel fish experts out there able to sex this angel fish please.

And also how do you tell. I know lots of people say you can only tell when they pair off but I know there must be another way to tell. Can anyone help?

I can sex angels with 100% accuracy half the time. The black angel in the picture is a male.

With experience, observing a well settled in group of nearly mature or mature angels you can guess closer, maybe 80% accuracy. Much of it has to do with behavior, this is something you can't show with a picture or even a short video clip, you have to have some extended viewing under different conditions, such as feeding, water changes, etc.

Angels are very difficualt to sex, but your's look very mature and very masculine.

the surest way to sex a cichlid is by its tube, sometimes you can see their tubes even when they're not spawning
if its pointy its a male, and if its a bit rounder its a female.

now in your photo you can see a little point just in front of the anal fin, so i'd say its male
