Hey! my 10 gallon is going to be empty soon, and i am thinking about african cichlids. They will be the only fish in the tank. Even if i can just have 1. I was thinking about auratus, kribensis. Any other ideas or can i keep 1 of these?

What sort of shell dwellers?
Neolamprologus Multifaciatus (i.e. "Multies"), more fun than you can chuck at a 10 gallon, also ocelattus(spelling?) , Neolamprologus Kungweensis (check my own thread)... also have a look over on ShellDwellers.com
check out this hopefully helpful link

shell dweller for a ten gallon link
Thanks. that link was helpful. i have decided on shell dwellers.
Cool , welcome aboard, I wanted them as soon as I seen them, have a look on youtube, loads of cool videos :good:

This is probably the reason why my two Convict Cichlids aren't getting along. They are fairly small, at only about 2 inches in length, however one seems to be annoyed with the other. Each time it sees the other come out in the open it usually darts at the other. Kind of like he doesn't want to see it's face. First I thought that maybe it's because they are both males, but now I'm wondering if they do that because there isn't enough room. They're in a 10 gallon, by the way. I've been thinking about converting my 29 gallon community tank into a Cichild one.
