I noticed this odd happening, and I'm not sure what it could be. I don't think it's oxygen, but it could be.

Any answers out there??

The plant was damaged and is releasing oxygen, nothing to worry about. By the way you have a nice tank, perhaps you could start a youtube page and post more vids?
 
As above, happens when the leaf gets damaged and the store of O2 in the leaf is released all at once, rather than through the leaf itself.

Makes sense. I've been preparing the stock for my first breeding attempt, and they're starting to get a little feisty in there.

Thanks for the tank complement. I always thought about doing some You Yube vids, but my wife already thinks I'm nuts when it comes to this hobby. I will remain a part time lurker until I actually know what I'm doing.
