Would an anubias be a good plant to put into a betta tank? I went and purchased a few plants for my guppy tank and had intended to get one for one of my bettas, but just wanted to be sure that anubias would be safe for bettas beforehand.

Thanks!

Im thinking of the same thing =]

I think it would be perfect for a betta, lots of places to sit and shelter under =]

my favourite plant by far!

I have anubias in my tank and they are one of the easiest to look after, and it looks the nicest, probably because it's one of the few that's thriving. So, yes!

Anubias should be fine GG. As Mewmew said, they will lie on them to rest etc.

My bettas used to but they prefer Javafern tbh :)

Yah! Thanks so much everyone! Great to hear.

When I started using live plants in my guppy tank, the only one that seemed to thrive has been the anubias and I've become very fond of it!

My bettas will be pleased to get their own. . . :)

ETA - oh, and I have looked at Java Ferns. The ones the LFS have look in really bad shape. That's why I haven't purchased any.

Anubias are one of the few live plants that I seem to do well with too. They don't need bright lights or fertilizers to thrive. You don't even have to bury their roots so they can be attached to wood, rocks or other decorations making them completely portable. Here's one of mine that I tied to a piece of wood.
