I got some anti-ammonia rock, for my hospital tank. I thought it would keep the ammonia levels under control, as the tank is unfiltered.

Now that my cory is all better, I have moved it into the 6 gallon tank. But i have a few questions about this ammonia-rock:

1) If I wash it and keep it to dry in the sun, can I re-use it?
2) Does medicine also get absorbed into the rock, along with the ammonia?

Thanks in advance

The problem with anything that removes ammonia is that your tank will uncycle as there will be nothing for the bacteria to feed on. I'm sure it will also reach a saturation point at some point at which time, suddenly the ammonia will begin to build again.
