Addicted and in Therapy
Alright I know I just posted, but this is a completely different topic, and very important!
Today I was looking at my Betta foerschi, and could not find the female anywhere.
I was freaking out, because all 3 of my falx jumped out at different times, and 1 died. This tank was pretty well covered, except for some small spaces near the filter. Anyways, the male has been chasing the female a lot lately, so I figured he chased her right out of the tank.
Ugh!!! Couldn't find her on the floor, on the shelf, NOWHERE. Finally got this weeeird idea, that she might be in the filter - it's a Whisper with no intake tube, but hollow on the inside. Pulled out one of the filter sponges.....
Her little head came poking out!!!
I was like OMG!!! Yanked out the other bigger sponge, and she came tumbling out by herself. She's stressed, but not torn up at all. She ate her dinner of bloodworms, so I'm not too worried. Let's just say I covered up all those holes real quick.
Stupid wild fish!! They jump like no other!!!
That's also to say that when I was removing the lid of the tank, and my hand was a good 6 inches above the water's surface, the male jumped out and big my finger. I said HELLO!!! He's a tad athletic, and friendly...
