if i added 4 or 5 Burmese Border Loach to my tank, how would that effect my stock levels?? (theyre around 5 inch each) i have 4 corys and a plec, i intend to add more corys, some guppies, and a pair or 2 of rams. would i still have room for a few more fish?!

thanks

You have to be careful about adding too many bottom dwellers. Most Loaches are quite boisterous and you don't want them upsetting the Plec and Cories too much. If you have your heart set on Loaches, then why not try Dwarf Chain Loach (Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki)?

Yea they look similar but says expensive fish. I've got a (is this sad or does everyone do it!) little notepad where I write the names of fish I like from the several lfs around me, I then do a little research on each ones and decide from there if I want them :D I haven't seen these before and thought they were different and quite cheap! :)

You are not the only one who does it!
Good for you for doing it, though. It's nice to see someone spending the time researching.
I'm not a Loach expert but I think a group of 5" Burmese Loach may be a bit too much. I kept similar Loach in my 180 litre tank and they were forever bothering one of my Keyhole Cichlids and my Plecs. They were a little too inquisitive for my other fish!

Yeah I've got a little book too! haha! :D

Oh a side note, the plane in your sig is awesome - where did you get it? :good:

Thanks :D was just over 20 quid from a shop in Reading, will look for name etc as I don't know off hand. Not quite sure what plane its meant to be but its a nice size and fish can swim inside it :D

Haha - I've got much the same with a Pirate ship, my bristlenose has taken refuge inside it and scares all of my danios away - none of them venture inside!
