Another Pregnant Guppy Thread

sorry i know it must become tedious but is this lass "up the duff"?

she's certainly fatter than the other ladies in my tank

DEFINATELY you can see the large gravid spot (the dark spot behind the white part of the belly) that is the babies. she has probably about 2 weeks to go. GOOD LUCK

awesome! i'd read that was the tell tale sign BUT first time parent to be me, just wanted to check! they've only been in there since thursday!!! horny blighters

If you look closely, can you see eyes? That's a sure sign they'll be giving birth pretty soon. I'd say she has about a week/2 weeks to go.

If the gravid spot turns peachish at any time it is just the fry turning. She was definately pregnant at the store when you got her on thursday then... good choice, she is very colorful too. I once saw a female that I swore was a male and looked at the gonopodium or spike(whatever you want to call it) and found out it was a very VERY colorful female. I wasn't able to buy her at the time though. oh well

i've got a female that's very highly coloured, i thought she was male...once they stay still for a bit i'll take a pic!!

the stop is currently peachy aswell, just turned the light on this morning, coincedence eh?

OMG i've just had a quick look at all three lasses in there....


they all have the dark spots behind their bellies!!!!

i've already offered animation some guppy babies....anyone want any free kids assuming they survive?
