was told its a bristlenose? female? its about4inch long

I'm pretty sure that is a Bristlenose Pleco. He looks very similar to the one I have. How long ago did you get it? It looks like its female and that it is about a year or two old. What do you want to know about it? I have alot you can learn about it :D .
 
I thought if I was a female it would have a few bristles, this has none I have a male in another tank, I'll get them together & see what happens
I've had her a year, came from somebody who was shutting some tanks down

Males have bristles - it's believed to be that the males have the bristles to display to the female 'look how many babies I have' as they wiggle like fry would. Shows how fertile and masculine they are!

I've never heard that before; excellent theory!
 
if that's the case im in for a few babies, because the male is covered in them
 
wonder if I stop shaving it may have the same effect
