Another Newbie here lol

Hi all, another newbie here from australia. I have 5 female guppies, 2 males, 2 mollies and a male betta. Only just got all my fish last week so im new at this. Guess what Im a grandmother lol. One of my guppies has had 5 fry so far. one deformed and one eaten so only 3 left. But its a great start lol.

I know nothing about guppies so ive been researching, am setting up a small breeding tank tomorrow for my guppies because i have 2 more that are close to dropping their fry. Just wanted to drop in and say hi and share my great news Im very excited lol

I suppose the first thing you learned about those guppies are that they multiply pretty quickly

Hi and welcome to the forum..The people here are great. I hope you will enjoy it here. And you will learn one thing with the guppies and mollies is that every 28 days or so you will have more babies..

and good luck by the way if you want to get rid of the baby ones get an angelfish and 3 clown loaches . Ok the clown loaches might not eat them but their gorgeous.

I don't it's just that I keep getting fry and they are cute but they can get soooooooo annoyin not like CLOWN LOACHES

Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes The first lot of fry we had died, due to me cooking them. I read on here that high temperatures kill fungal infections so i turned the tank up to 28 degrees, which killed the fry and the mother, the second lot died due to not knowing anything about ammonia and ph. Now we are setting up a 6 foot tank and doing it properly, we are doing everything by the book. The tank is set up as of sunday, and it only has weeds in it, am checking ph every day until i get it right and have put ammonia and nitrite stuff in it, will not be any fish in until another 2 or 3 weeks once ecerything has settled lol.

Its all a learning experience and this forum has helped us alot.

I only have 2 guppies left, 1 Betta, 2 albino catfish and 2 clouds. Not getting any more fish until i have worked out what i am doing with the big tank.

OOPs. Poor you ur well lucky in being allowed a 6ft tank I'm only allowed a 3ft tank good luck hope u get some more fry
