Well, it wasn't really surprising that I woke up this morning to find my oldest and longest surviving swordtail dead this morning. He was my very first swordtail and the survivor of my many noobish fishkeeping mistakes.
I checked my tank parameters, Ammonia 0.1 (I think from the dead fish being in there for those few hours) Nitrite 0, pH 7.4, Nitrate 20. So I think it is safe to say that this was from old age. :(

Good-bye "Big Haas" you will be missed.

:rip: sorry to hear, never a good feeling when you loose a fish, even though it isn't your fault =/

We figured it was only a matter of time. He's been showing signs of old age for a couple of months. All of the other fish are healthy and fine so I know its not the tank. Hey at least he died in a good, well taken care of, clean home rather than the overcrowded tank at the fish store. I think he led a good life, and I have 20+ babies in his memory lol
