In my current 10g tank I have a 15watt 1800K light. I like the color of the fish and tank under this light. I try to keep my light on 10-14 hrs a day (i need a timer, much easier). In the tank I have some hornwort and was going to get java fern and or java moss.

Now, I know that this light is not idea for growing plants, but will they still do ok in this light?

you really have really low lighting IMO :) it might be better to get the kelvin temp correct :) 1800 is very yellowish in my opinion ? could it be 18000K? which is at the opposite side of the spectrum ?

go for higher lighting :) mix the bulbs if you like the hue provided by that bulb :)

It's deffinatly the wrong colour temperature - plants need it to be between 5000k and about 6700k... that's more of a white light/ day light. The java fern and moss will be ok with the lower light.... they dont need tons.
