YUCK I went in there and turn left, I'm surrounded by tank on top of tank and bettas lined neatly in rows in little jars and I come to a tank and a shark looking thingy is eating another fish!!! I ALMOST PUKED. The end. :)

well whats wrong with having lots of tanks? theres nothing wrong with a shark eating a another fish.. well kinda but not really, maybe it was a feeder... thats really not that big of a deal.... :dunno:

Nothing wrong I just got a sick feeling at the time. AND LMAO Well It was just a LITTLE disturbing knowing that it ate it alive and it kept gagging on it in and out and the fish was upside down and its head was sticking out and ewwww

..Was it supposed to be eating the other fish?
At my LFS I hang around to watch them feed the sharks and the saltwater carnivores [the toadfish, puffers, groupers, etc] live goldfish.
It's not too bad cos they swallow the goldfish whole, but it's kinda cool to see them turn white in saltwater.
It may seem cruel, but hey.. it's a feeder goldfish, it's gonna get fed to something regardless, right?

:-( Poor bettas! I went to my LFS to get some fish (can't remember what type!) and they'd just got a new stock of bettas delivered from somewhere like New Zealand or something like that! :dunno: And anyway each poor little betta was in a tiny plastic bag with about an inch of water! Alot of them were dead, but the survivors had come all that way withouth any food and with only an inch of water! I bought one because I felt so sorry for them! He is a beautiful petrol-blue colour and I called him Jackie! (as in, Jackie Chan! )

ya.. umm i guess its a little more disturbing that it first seemed

maybe not :hey:

Guess I'm a cruel @#$%@#$. Like littlefishie, I hang around my LFS to see them feed the sharks. Then again, I get a kick out of watching snakes hunt down and eat rats.

Am I mean? ????

Would you find it a big deal if it was an expensive fishie like an Oscar?

I think he means it would have got eaten anyways...so it doesnt matter.

an oscar wouldnt get eaten by a shark, nor would they be housed with sharks,a nd lastly oscars are not expensive :p

I went to my local Walmart on Wednesday, and there was cannibalism going on in almost every single tank... probably because the fish all die, and the living ones aren't being fed enough so they eat the dead. I know fish will gladly eat others of their kind even when they aren't starving, but I know an emaciated fish when I see one.
I saw a small Pacu devouring an already half-eaten bala shark -_-

well, i like watching barracudas eat live fish. i like watching killer whales jump up on shore to eat fish too. its all natural. something has to get killed to keep another alive

Edit: even if it were a 200 dollar fish that was getting eaten by a barracuda, it doesnt make a difference to me, as long as it aint endangered
