I have noticed many posts about DIY caves on message forums on the net so I decided to put my article together for making a coconut cave.

I have been using the types of caves for years now with no problems or losses... you just have to be careful how you prepare them...

As mentioned above.........could you please elaborate?

I have a couple of pot caves..........are caves bad? or is it just the cocunut strings coming adrift and being eaten/choked-on?

this is a picture of a coconut cave that has been in my 72 gallon tank for about 6 months...

you can see the my plecos have stripped it clean...

I've seen these caves sold on aquabid. They were sold with or without the husks on.

I have had one of these in my tanks for 6 months and the fish love it....

Easy to do....even for a girl like me!!!
