I fell in love with this angel today that i had to have it to go with the blushing koi.
The guy said it was a "blue ***** angel" - because its top fin and top of body has a blue highlight through it
Can anyone help me out with the name
Folks can name a certain phenotype anything they want to make it sell. A perfect example are koi angels, which are correctly known as gold marble blushers. Another is panda koi, which are koi that don't express any, or very little orange. I could name chocolate veil angels with a greenish hue, which is common under the right light "Mint Chocolate Veils". With a little speckling, which is a common wild trait I would have "Mint Chocolate Chip Veils".
This is a complaint of many honest breeders, much of it seems to come from discus breeders who try to attach a trendy name to various phenotypes. For the most complete angel phenotype library I can find check out http/www.theangelfishsociety.org/phenotype_library_2007/
Tell me about the koi's!
I was told they were coin angels (i had to double check after asking here) because they were silver and round.....later found out from here they were koi angels and im being told they are blushing koi angels.....too confusing
I should really get them to write the names down when i buy them but i like things that wont kill each other and look pretty together lol!
Thanks for the link - i will have a check to see if i can discover the true name.
The one i have is about the size of an adult womans hand but he did have one which was double the size which he said was the same kind.....dont know if that might help me discover the name xx
**edit* From what i can see it appears to be a blue koi
thanks xx
