Annoying Molly

Hello, at Petsmart today, I was talked into buying 2 silver lyretail mollies to go into my tropical aquarium. I dont know anything about these fish, so im wondering if you could help.

The tank is only a 10 gallon with 2 small dwarg gourami in it. One of the mollies died within minutes of being placed in the tank (had some green stuff on its gills) and the other mollies looks fine except for he keeps chasing and nipping at my 2 gourami. Will he continue to do this, or is this a temporary thing? Please help!

dwarf gourami can be very timid, which means they are susceptible to being bullied by other bigger or same sized tank mates,
the molly will require partially brackish water which the gourami can't survive in.. so it is not a good Idea to keep them together

Okay, im setting up a tank for them now. I saw the post about them needing salt, but could someone translate that into gallons and tablespoons or something?
