i have two Gouramis that i think are male? im not %100 sure on how to tell with them, there both white and fairly big.
they chase eachother around alot and sorta fight, they dont do any damage to eachother and they dont Always fight. and they dont even bother the other fish at all.

is this normal? i have been told i should get a few of the oppisite sex. but once im not sure how to tell between sex's.

what type of gourami? kissing are hard to sex afaik , have a look in the species sections theres wrigt ups in there for the how to tell difference on the other types.my larger one chases my other kissing gourmi periodically then stops.

ypically the best thing that you can do is add more plants to your aquarium whether they are real or fake. Doing this willbreak up the line of sight for the dominant gourami and so the weaker one will not be picked on as much.

there pearl gouramis.

i bought two female's.. thinking yeah they may get along and keep to there own but now the big gourmi is madder than ever and chases my mollys and my sharks around. dosnt bother with the corys or any other smaller fish.

he hates the chinese alge eaters the most i think but there far to quick for them. lol

it anoys me coz the 2 females and the other male all get along but this big one dosnt.

In that case it seems there are only a few options.

1)You can either leave it and hope that it gets better.
2)Try and find a new home for the Gourami (possibly using the sell and swap function on this forum)
3)Try and take the fish back to your lfs and try and get money back or store credit?
