Hi

In my tank there are 6 head + tail tetras, 1 Betta and now (since this morning) two Cory Catfish. The Betta seems to be chasing the catfish and trying to nip them - everyone, including my LFS told me that they would all get along - any ideas why he's doing this???

P.S. - I know I need more Cory Catfish!

Remove the betta because they are not supposed to be with tetras and some bettas just don't like corys. So get him a nice 2.5g or a 5g with a heater. ;) You will get more responses in the betta section.

No - I know there not OK with SOME tetras - but there OK with head + tail tetras and he's been fine with the tetras for the last 3 weeks. It's the corys he doesn't like.

Bettas somtimes feel threatened by other colourful fish. They sometimes confuse them with other male bettas because of there bright colours. I agree with drubkat that you might want to remove him.

Well he might be ok for awhile with these tetras then one day your going to come home to either a fin shredd betta or dead betta or dead tetras or corys.

Go to walmart (if there is one in the UK) or any other pet shop and go and buy one. All pet or fish stores have fish tanks for sale.
