do angels get finrot more easily thano ther fish?

i ask this because i got 2 angels about a week ago, 1 is looking great, second is lookg ok, but his fins are kind of on the short side, and his top fin is ripped almost half an inch.

also, the first angel that i ever got, which i traded it in a while ago, also had fin rot when i first got him.... now im not sure its fin rot actually, but his fins seems alot shorter than the other angel.

hes acting fine, and i put in a little bit of melafix to maybe help, but if it continues to worsen, im gonna have to use marycn i think it is... the one that treats fin rot.

any ideas are welcome,thanks

are there other tank mates that could be ripping the fins? or could the two angels be fighting possibly? angels are not prone to fin rot.

i highly doubt they are fighting. they spend all day together next to each otehr.

and the only other fish that even gets clsoe to them are my zebra loaches that for some reason like to search around the angels, its funny, and im almost sure they dont hurt them, but ill keep a close eye on them.

but i didnt have the loaches with the first angel
