just had a big re-shuffle of my stocking , i got rid of all the barbs ( 10 tigers and 6 rosy) and replaced them with 5 small juvenile angels. body size not including fins about the size of a 50p piece . how quick on average do they grow?

Ye year to 18 months on average, with 5 fish you should find that you get a pair from them and these two will them bully the other's, so watch for this and you may have to try to rehome a couple later.

Of course it dose depend on the size of the tank, a 3tf tank can cope with 2 pair's if their not pushed with other fish.

thanks for the replies. if a pair forms il keep an eye on things as it would be nice if i could keep the whole group but if not il be happy with a pair . tank is 453 litre 48x24x24"

I saw some tiny ones in the lfs today! were about a centimetre long!! so cute! they look so tiny its a shame my tanks not big enough!

went to my lfs today for 2 bags of daphnia which are 30p each and walked out a tenner poorer :hey: the daphnia "came with" 8 bunches of valis and a stuning little dark marble angel at about 2.5 inches.

the whole tank has undergone quite a transformation lately its been rescaped and re-stocked

fish gone
6 tiger barbs 4 rosy barbs firemouth featherfin synodontis add to that the fact that id re-homed my blue acara and lost a sev and a bichir about 2 or 3 months ago quite a hole was left

last week i added 5 small angels and a tiny little gibbi then today 1 more angel and planted lots of valis in a big patch to make ;like a mini jungle at the back of the tank.
