A friend shopped around for Ages for a reefsafe flame - he ended up getting one from someone else's reef - put it in his tank and within days it was snacking on his SPS

yet i know of alot that are reef safe, a few of which are kept with sps. i guess again its down to luck!

I'm going to choose to learn from that post and ignore the flame angels beauty.

I have had a coral beauty leave stuff like feather dusters pretty much alone while another coral beauty would go on a killing spree after the feather duster worms in another tank. Go figure. I suppose that they have tastes much like we do.

ehn...feather dusters are out of the question for me anyways...I had a huge one that had survived through all of my past tank mishaps and nukes but one day I added a huge hermit to my tank and he casually strolled over, dug up my duster, dragged him behind a rock, and proceeded to rip him to pieces.

I hear you. The flame is the best looking salt fish in my opinion. It is indeed my favorite...it and the powder blue tang. I have one of those in a 150....awesome looking and a great success story. Shipped via mail...got serious ick....we just kept over feeding him. (Ick hurts their throats and they do not eat and waste away....threw a UV serlizer on the tank and rode it out. He is now huge...fat...and the tank boss.

probably explains why garlic enrinced food helps since it persuades penickity eaters to feed!

as for angels my all time favourate and one il be ensuring i base my tank around is a regal angel
