I am new in keeping angels (I have them 2 weeks and I like them very much). But I have noticed quite strange behaviour from some of them. Sometimes (without any concrete reasons) they begin to dart: up-down, right-left. But after 10-15 seconds they calm down and everything is OK. Also these angels (2 from 6) are not eating together with others (they look too slow and not interested), but heartily nibble plants. What are the reasons of such behaviour (what I should do): are they sick? are they stressed? maybe they need more oxygen?
My aquarium: 240 liters, Gh-6, Ph- 7.2, temp. 28 degrees. Thanks

I am not really sure, but they may be getting pushed around by the stronger ones. Drop food to the dominant fish first then give the slower ones some while the others are busy, frozen or better still live bloodworm should tempt them unless they are actually sick. Have the 2 eaten at all since you got them. Don’t worry about the darting, they do that, sometimes one gets a fright and they all react. Doubt oxygen is the problem as long as you have a filter big enough for the tank. If they didn’t have enough O2 they would be gasping at the water surface. Not sure that’s any help if the problem continues ask again. I take it that your tank is cycled and that you have no ammonia or nitrite in the tank. If not that would stress the angels a lot.
