Hey. As many here may already know, I lost one of my angels this week to bullying from the other angels. Thing is it looks like the smallest of the three is now being bullied. Looks like the other two have become a pair. They are almost identical in size. Should I get the smallest out and into the 35g with the gouramies immediately? Will it be ok on it's own with no other angels? The other two are growing fast. So fast in fact I'm concerned that the other tank won't cycle in time for my platties and sparkling gouramie to get out before they get interested in them! :S
Alternatively I could move the two bigger angels to the 35g until the other tank is ready and then I can move the platties, gouramie and little angel to the new 30g.
What do you think would be the best idea?
Both these current tanks have good params and I watch all my tanks closely. The cycling tank won't be ready for a few weeks yet (fishless cycle and I've not use bacteria from the other three tanks since they aren't over 6 months and I don't wish to upset their eco systems).
Hugs,
P.

If you have a bonded pair then removing the
third one is the best course of action.

I moved him. Got him real quick thankfully and transferred straight over. Added a little melafix to the 35g since it seems to perk them up if stressed. He's gone into hiding right now. I suspect he'll sulk for a bit. But I'd rather that then a repeat of the last one.
On a slightly different note my 55g obviously is still quite sparesly populated. I want a few more brachies so no other bottom dwellers and probably be best for daytime residents so the brachies can play at night happily. The platties and gouramies will be moved fairly soon so once they're gone what would go well with the brachies and angels?
Hugs,
P.
P.S:Also is it worth him having a companion or does it not matter? I say him although I'm not entirely sure which sex he is. :*)
