Hello,

I was over watching my parents tank and realized that their were eggs on the sword plant. Which is cool they have angels that are spawing.

But their is one problem, their are 4 angels in the tank. I need to kno which 2 are nto breeding so i can take them out and place them in another tank, so they dont get bullied.

Is their a way to tell the mated pair?

I took one out which is bullied by everyone, and is just a dopey fish that refuses to defend himself, and added him to my community. How can i find the last one. I dont spend much time over their so its not like i see it every day.

Thanks

You should see 2 of the angelfish defending the eggs by chasing/nipping any fish that gets to close and you should see the parents fanning the eggs with there tail. What other fish does your parents have in the tank and what size is the tank because it could be a different fish's eggs.

It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to see which is the pair, & which is the odd fish out. The pair won't let the other angel anywhere near the spawn. Sometimes they take turns fanning the eggs with their pectorals, not their tail, sometimes one or the other will do most of the fanning, while the non-fanning fish does more of a perimeter patrol.

If you have any other fish in there, especially plecs, the eggs are as good as gone.
