Hi there
Recently my Platinum angel pair have been cleaning the divers helmet in their tank.
Is this a sign of spawning?
Their tube things have started to show and one of them keeps chasing all he other tank mates away.
Thanks
Eve

Generally, yes. The one chasing is most likely the male. You can tell by the tubes. The male will have a pointy tube while the female has a thicker, stumpier looking one. If you have tank mates, don't expect eggs to survive. You might even see more aggression between the two angels as well.

Yes Cleaning is a behavior that signifies possible breeding. Before spawning the pair will clean the spot before laying eggs. And as Phage stated angels are very agressive during spawning and the raising of their fry. I had to move my pair out of their community tank as the other fish's lives were in danger.

If your ready for it, watching angels spawn and raise their fry can be one of the most magnificent sights.

Good luck if it is a spawn :good:
