I was wondering if anyone knows if Angels get along good with Firemouths. We had a 20 gal that we would like to have the two together. Our Firemouths are very quiet. Please help! Thank you for you help in advance.

Firemouths are to agressive for gentle angels, also in a 20g theres no room left, if you were to add more fish the firemouths would see them as invadeing and might attack them.

We are planning on taking out the frogs and put them in the 10 gal all by themselves and put the firemouth and angel together. I yet to see my firemouths aggressive yet. They are too quiet and shy. The firemouths are about an 2". The angels are about 4". Still not good to put them together. When ever I look into the 10gal I always have to search for them. Is that common. Thanks for all the help again.

The tank is much to small i think it would be a better idea in getting a larger tank because think about it angels get very tall very fast, i understand how bad you want them they are a very nice looking cichlid, so why not just go get a larger tank? it makes for a good excuse doesnt it :) plus then each fish will have there own part of the tank and the firemouths will leave the angels alone.

PS: With your FM's not being agressive, thats 100% fine because they have nothing to be agressive against but if you bring in a new fish into its tank it might not like it.

I agree, that tank is too small for angels and firemouths are too aggressive to go in with them. I also thinkt the tank is too small for FMs. Angels need 36" long x 12" wide x 18"+ tall at least IMO. That measures at 28US gallons being the minimum (and with the head room).
