Tiger Barbs(Barbus tetrazona tetrazona)
These little fish are generally not regarded as good community fish as they tend to be aggressive and known fin nippers. They definately need to be kept in a large shoal, firstly for show and secondly which I think is of importance, is to keep them together. Shoaling fish by nature will tend to swim together,by instinct. This stems from safety in numbers syndrome, so if the shoal stick together there's less likelyhood of them being aggressive towards other fish. This is the theory, in reality there always the stragglers and they could be the problem. You will also need a fairly large tank, because as the Angels grow, and they can grow in a tank up to around 6" in diameter they will crowd the barbs and barbs don't like being crowded. So to answer your question, I would advise caution.

I personally would have thort theyr ok together, angels can sure holdd their own in a tank! So long as theres enough room to get along it should be ok

All that finnage and the feelers on the angels would be too much temptation for barbs,i have to say thats a NO!

I have to agree with CFC......Barbs would go crazy seeing all them long fines to nip at.....I have always heard that the 2 breeds werent a good mix.

I am not going to say either way,but i do have a tiger barb in my 55 gallon tank with my 2 adult angels. Let me tell you that my angels hold there own. He doesnt bother them at all,but he chases my silver dollar all over. That seems to be the only fish he has a problem with. I have black moores, fantails, angels, kissing fish, knife fish( ),2 pleco, platys, bottom feeders, silver dollar, and he doesnt bother any of them, but my silver dollar.
Just my 2 cents! :)
