Angelfish?

OK,I have a 110l Juwel Rekord (still cycling and all that, plants arriving soon ) I went to a newly opened fish store today just to have a look, and they had angelfish, i have always liked them but I am not sure if I can have them.
I have done lots of looking around on the web but opinion seems to be divided, one site said 4g for an adult and another said 10g for an adult.
I just thought I would ask here and hopefully get a definite answer. I want a pair ( or more ) of something and at the moment its looking like angel fish or rams (I know I cant have more than a pair of rams in this tank)

Your tank needs to be high, have pristine water quality and lots of hiding places.
Ideally to be on the safe side, I would say no. Simply because of cramping issues with other fish.
Same goes with Discus I'm afraid.

1 pair of either, min. for angels is 20 gal so your tank is 22 so i would go with it BUT thats about it, IMO i wouldnt only go to about 25 gal for a pair but if you really want angels then your able to, just 2 max though, and if the tank's height is less than 18" then no as angels need about that much cuz theyare vertically large

honestly if i were you do something else fo this tank and if you upgrade to say 30+ then id get a pair.

4 gallons for an adult? 10 gallons for an adult? I think it is more like 25 gallons for an adult! The tank needs to be at least 18" tall. I think that you could get away with 1 angel fish with some dithers. I have no expirence with them though, so I can't provide you with a deffinate answer.

I'd say no, by my calculations, I think your tank is about 17.7" high? This is obviously before taking into account 1-2" of sand/gravel and then probably an inch of the top so the water doesnt overflow so you've only really got arouund 14-15" of actual water depth. Angels can reach 8-9" tall so the tank height is more important that the length. They really need 18" worth of water, ideally should be kept in 2ft tall tanks.

A pair of bolivian rams would make a nice centrepiece for your tank.

I have a 29 gallon tall and I have in my tank:
2 neon blue dwarf gouramis
2 mollies
2 dojo loaches
2 swordtails
2 scissortail rasboras
1 black neon tetra (thinks he's a scissortail)
1 common pleco
1 platy
2 small angelfish
3 guppies

I had one guppy fry about a month old. Something ate it. Either a gourami or the angels as they were added later. Also, my female swordtail has a bite out of her tail. I'm pretty sure the angels are the culprits as my gouramis (1 male 1 female as far as I can tell) are very peaceful (so far) and the bite is about the size of the angels mouth.

Also, eventually my angels will outgrow this tank. Right now body size one is about the size of a quarter and one about half dollar size not counting fins and tails. If you really like your smaller fish I'd stay away from the angels. Just my opinion as I am still learning as I go
