WEll after a few things going bottom's up the past few months i should be getting my other halfs 4x1.5x3 tank on friday . The only fish i have that i want to move over are the 6 Angel's & 3 Black Skirt Tetra's.

Can anyone shed some light on what would be suitable tankmates? I know the larger tetra's are good with them but want something a bit diffrent the cichlid side is all new to me so open to suggestions

Are there any bottom dweller's minus cory's or plec's that i could keep . I love the Fire Eel's but again not sure if they are compatible or not

Hope someone can help

:D

Corys, Pleco, Large Tetras that wont fit into a Angels mouth, Apistos

Rams, Gourami. There are quite a few fish that should be fine with Angels. If you have long fin varieties watch for fin nippers. Angels also tend to fin nip so nothing with fins that are too long either.

Golden Panchax or Hatchets
Peacock or other smaller spiny eels
Rams, apistos, keyholes
hoplos, plecos, upside down cats

Thank's For the Replies...Really wanting something a bit bigger Would any of the following be compatible?

Spotted Headstander
Hatchetfish
African RedEye
Festive Cichlid
Ornage Chromide
Rainbow Cichlid
Red RainbowFish
Celebes Rainbow

Also would a Golden Sev be ok in there?

:D

Spotted Headstander - no
Hatchetfish - yes
African RedEye - yes
Festive Cichlid - sometimes, (depends on Temperament of specific festivum)
Ornage Chromide - not sure, always thought they were brackish ???
Rainbow Cichlid - should be ok
Red RainbowFish - yes
Celebes Rainbow - yes

Cheers for that davo think i'd rather go for a Sev rather than the Festive. Would add the sev last that way it will still be young while everything else is a bit older and i can watch him lol

Would a FireEel be compatible with the above that you said yes too

A Fire Eel would get far to big for the tanksize tbh but as said above a Peacock or similar spiny eel would be suitable

Out of the ones you listed.

Rainbows, Hatchets, and Sevs/Festivums should all be fine. You would just need to keep an eye on the Sev/Festivum as they grow but chances are they will be fine.

I would advise against getting rams, as they are timid and not veracious like an angel.
If you dont mind going outside your biotype, i have had good luck with gouramis and female betas(neon tetras and angels are fun to watch as neons are angels natural prey :good: ). But as far as cichlids go, you cant go wrong with most dwarf cichlids, agassiziis do very well with angels.

Celebes rainbowfish are very small, so they wont be a "bit bigger". we have 6 celebes right now with 2 angels, but they are juvenile angels. once fully mature i dont know if the celebes will start to look like neon tetras to them. so i wouldn't recommend them.

red rainbows, along with any other larger rainbow species will be fine. that's what i do, i keep angels and rainbows in my 75g and it works wonderfully :good:

Rams are completely fine with Angels and you should have done some research before posting, because they too are Dwarf Cichlids (like Apistos.)
