First of all, I have my polypterus senegalus senegalus (senegal bichir) in a 60 gal. tank height is 18 in. and I was thinking of giving him a few angelfish for company, is that enough height and also what would i need to do to accomodate them, rock structures, plants, etc...also what is the best thing to feed them? And finally.. my bichirs is only about 5 in. right nowbut is supposed to be about 12, will he eat their long fins? He really seems much more peaceful than they are made out to be. :/

yes, 18" is the minimum height required for angels.

I'm not sure putting them in with a bichar is a good idea or not,
maybe an expert in them can say if it is ok or not. :dunno:

My tank is the same height and my angel fish does just fine.I initially bought a group of 3 angels but two picked on the 3rd until it died. Then the remaining two quabbled until another died.I have just the one now and it is doing great and grown quite alot and peace has returned to my tank.
Young fish like your bichir can undergo a personality change when they mature.Sort of jekell and hide.

The tank itself is fine. I don't know anything about bichirs though.

I would get one, two or four+ angels. Three can be a bad idea as the larger two will often pick on the smaller one.
