Angelfish Shoal

You will be fine adding more angels until you get a pair decide to spawn at which point they are going to want the tank to themselves. Unless you can guarantee all your angels are girls best sticking to a pair. They will be sexually mature in less than 12 months if they are getting enough food.

i think he's a zebra/marble

i had 2 fairly large angel fish in my 75 gallon (along with other fish, its a community tank.) and i bought 2 smaller koi angels at the wknd.

was worried at first cos the bigger angels where nipping at the bag whilst i was floating them but i added some new plants and set them free and theyve been ok.

bit of chasing at first but no contact and now the bigger angels only go for the smaller ones if they look at them the wrong way.

think they jus have to get used to each other.

when establishing pecking order the bigger angel ripped that dorsal fin right in two; a big slit vertically down the middle :-(

but now the bigger one has shown he's "big boy" he no-longer makes contact, merely chases the "newbie" if it tries to get the food first
