I have a large Angel in my planted 55 gallon community, and today I noticed him with long, stringy white poo. I've had him for months now, and everyone else in the tank is fine, including the other Angel. He is still eating well too.
Here's a picture.

Uh oh. Just fed and it seems Angel isn't interested. He ate this morning. Everyone else is eating good, but he's just kinda staring at it. Anyone have any idea?

Hi My friends angel is going through the same thing at mo , She used interpet internal bacteria or parasite and did not work now she has put a wormer meds in and she now has 4 fish with the same. They started with stringy poo and stopped eating , 3 now seem to be on the road of getting better but her keyhole is just looking at the food.
PM dubledutchy as he has helped me with similar problems and might be able to give you better info sorry can not be more help

Alright, thank you! What medicine seems to be working for you? I think I'll dose the whole tank just in case, and I don't want to stress him too much from moving him away from his buddy. I'll PM him, thanks :)
It's not letting me send him a PM, and I can't seem to find his account on here. :/

Anyone know of a good medication I can use? Something I can buy at Petsmart. Going by tonight, not sure what's the best though. Need something that won't bother his tankmates. I can remove the shrimp if copper is an issue though. I'm looking online but honestly can't find anything I trust.

Okay, I bought Tetra brand parasite guard. They are tablets. It has Metronidazole in it, which seems to be a good one for angels with parasites, or so I've read. It's going to be impossible to fish out my shrimp, so I'm going to quarantine the two angels in a 5 gallon bucket and treat them. Only ones showing signs, but I figure it can't hurt.

Hi sorry not got back before , sounds like you have made the right choice and put in separate tank with treatment

good luck with this and hope your treatment works, my friend had the interpet meds and now has jbl worming meds but her keyhole is still not eating and just swims around when food is about and starting to look a bit skinny but here is hoping. Hers spread to four fish quite quickly to bottom dwellers so prob ate bit of the poo, other 3 are on the mend now .
hope alls well soon
cathy
