i have a breeding pair of koi angels ,one of them has lost its fin from the top of its body (don't no how) there is no infection and has healed nicely but cannot swim correctly now,it is often upside down! will its fin grow back ! or is it doomed! thanks john

Their fins grow back nicely, in my experience, but then I don't think I've had any that have lost that much of the fin. As to survival, I think that depends on if it's able to eat and not succomb to disease because it's stressed from the lack of finnage and/or whatever cause the lack of finnage.

A pic would help, I think the main thing is finding out what happened to the fin. Fin nipping on one fin only that severe is rarely related to aggression, what size tank, and what are the tankmates?
