I have 3 angels and the guy I got them from said there was a breeding pair (even went out of his way to point them out) so now the odd man out is hiding in the corner of the tank, I was scared maybe he was sick and wanted to wittness him eating so i put some blood worms in the tank, careful to break up a larger piece and put it on the oppsite side as him and put a small chuck by him. He came out to eat but shortly after I noticed the other male come racing over and kinda nip at his face. When this happened he turned tail(pun intended) and went back into the corner. Does this sound like he is just being domanated by the other male? is this likely to contuning occuring? should I look into finding him a different home? I don't have any other tanks or space in my other so this would mean trying to find someone that wants him which could be diffcult.

It probably will continue.
Typical cichlid behavior I'm afraid :/

This guy will always be picked on by the dominant male and also the female when they are spawning.
If you are able to re-home him it would be wise.

I thought so, well I have a local store that will give 1/2 price credit for fish I think angels of this size go for around 24 so I should be able to get at least 12.00 for him.

Well I still have one (actually the better looking of the 2 koi) and all the fish in the tank now seem happier, I look at it like this. His life was gonna suck in my tank but can end up happy in a new tank :)
