Angelfish[help Needed]

This is not a big emergency but we discovered my sisters angelfish laying eggs on the pipe of our filter inlet but, She was laying her eggs but alone . My sister has a male in the same tank but it was on the other side of the tank, and when ever he came near to the female laying her eggs, the female attacked him . Was he ment to be by her side when she was laying the eggs to fertalise them because we never saw him do it .

Yes, the male when she is finished follows behind and fertilises them. If he hasnt then they will go white and die. Is this the first time she has laid eggs? If so then it may take a few goes to get it right.
Before she started laying, what was the behaviour like, did they swim together all the time and occassionally lip lock or did they have their own seperate parts of the tank? Are you sure the other is a male and not another female and how long have they been together and what size are they?
