Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me. I have had 2 angelfish for a while now, recently one of them died so 1 was left on its own in the take. I decided to buy another Angelfish for it as a "friend". As soon as i put the new angelfish in the tank the other angelfish attacked it violently. I have had to move it to my other tank.

Does anyone know what the reason behind this is and is there anyway i can stop it?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks
Simon

a territory thing i would think, maybe move the original angel into another tank put the new one in then move the other one back later.

yeah angels can be aggressive and territorial. before adding new fish to a tank with territorial fish you should re-arrange the decor, this removes territories so the fish start on a level playing field as it were.
