I just stocked my 10 gallon tank with both of ghost shrimp, ADFs, snails, and live plants, and was about to add fish down the road, and the person I gave my 55 gallon tank to just asked me today do I want it back.

I'm thinking about getting it back and this time putting angelfish, harlequins, and platies in it along with apple snails, shrimp, and ADFs. I've heard that angelfish can be predatory when it comes to neons, if they can fit in their mouths, etc......so I'm wondering what will happen with ghost shrimp and ADFs.

What are your experiences?

Angelfish LOVE to eat ghost shrimp. I know mine does and he's not that big... barely 4 inches tall. If you want them to be housed together with neons, get the angelfish very young and small. That way, it grows up with them. If you just go out and buy an adult angelfish, he'll make a snack out of them. Tiny is the way to go. :) They learn to tolerate them when they grow bigger.

Thanks chibi...that was the exact kind of answer I needed. Now I know which way to go with ghost shrimp....and as far as the ADFs I probably won't put them in the 55 gallon anyway.....knowing how specially they have to be fed.

Its ok in the 10 gallon but in the 55 with all the plants in that thing it could probably get tricky.
