Angelfish aka kissing gourami

My 2 angel fish which i have had 4 about 6 months (they were about 9 months old when i got them), yesterday and today i noticed them acting like kissing gourami , locking lips and pushing each other. Any 1 know wat they r doing. Breeding maybe? they have been fine 2gether until now, and im afraid one might kill 1.

usually when fish "kiss" they fight.

but why the 2 angelfish suddenly doing this?

they can be both males.
your tank may be to small.
they are fighting over territory.
angels arent nice like many people think.

a pair will do this as well if they are pairing up and they test each other. what size tank are they in?

yes it does, lol.

but for the people in the US to help we do need to know what the gallons are. I know that where I live we never really went over the conversions, so I am not sure.

But in a 50 gallon there shouldnt be any of the problems I listed, so Black angel is probably correct.

the male will be bigger and have a hump to his head and a tapered look to the belly. the female is usually smaller and has a rounded abdomen. when they ae about to breed the males breeding tube is long and thin whereas the females is shorter and more blunt.
the tank is big enough for them not to be territorial though, do they swim together when they arent fighting?
if you have noticed them squaring up to each other and they flick their heads and push out the ventral fins then that is more about territory.

1 is smaller than the other and they were the same size when i got them.
yeah the swim 2gether most of the time when not fighting . and when they r fighting 1 of my black widows trys 2 fight with them 2 lol
